Last updated: April 16, 2026

Location Data

DeathMap requests your location solely to center the map on your current position. Location is accessed only while the app is in use ("When In Use" permission). Your location is never stored, transmitted to our servers, or shared with third parties.

Crash Data

The app fetches publicly available fatal crash data from the NHTSA Fatality Analysis Reporting System (FARS). API requests include the center coordinates and radius of the visible map area. These requests are not logged or associated with any user identity.

Personal Information

DeathMap does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. There are no user accounts, analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind.

Third-Party Services

DeathMap uses Apple MapKit to display maps. Apple's own privacy terms apply to map tile loading. No other third-party services are used.

Data Retention

No user data is retained because no user data is collected.

Children's Privacy

DeathMap does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
